About Skinner
With 12 studio albums, countless shows, & tours under his belt San Francisco Bay Area Metal veteran Norman Skinner has made a name for himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Metal world. Dubbed the “Metal Chameleon” by members of the press, Skinner possesses a very wide range and utilizes it in a unique style to effortlessly switch between the beautiful and the brutal. Norman's solo project "SKINNER" was formed from the fallout of the now defunct American Power\Thrash band “Imagika” in late 2010. After 4 very successful albums with Imagika Norman parted ways with the group and went on to construct a new band using his namesake "SKINNER" along with former Imagika bandmates bassist Jim Pegram and guitarist Robert Kolowitz. Drummer Ramon Ochoa and guitarist Grant Kolowitz rounded out the original line-up. SKINNER" performed their 1st show alongside the band Stryper in March of 2011 and began to gain a solid following with each live performance thereafter. Jim Pegram would soon leave the line-up for personal reasons being replaced by another Imagika alumni Elena Repetto. The band entered Fang Recording Studios in May 2010 to begin recording their 1st effort “The Enemy Within”. The EP would consist of the 1st 5 songs written by the band and would be self-released. In October 2011 "SKINNER" concluded the mixing\mastering for their 5-Song EP "The Enemy Within" and made an on-air debut of the recording on 90.5 KSJS Radio. The album was released world-wide on April 24th 2012. In 2013 another line-up change would bring back orignial bassist Jim Pegram and introduce new drummer Noe Luna to the ranks. 3rd guitarist Alfred San Miguel was brought onboard as well to complete the line-up. Newly signed to Dead Inside Records on May 6th 2014 “Skinner” released their 1st full-length album “Sleepwalkers” to fans world-wide. The album was an instant hit and garnered the band a great deal of attention. The band released 2 videos for the songs “Sleepwalkers” & “Orphans of Liberty”. Always moving forward vocalist Norman Skinner has slotted 2018 for his next solo release.
