Reigning from Atlanta, GA, vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims (born Jaten Dimsdale) found himself on the path towards self-forgiveness when he started putting pen to paper for his debut studio album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1), via Warner Records. Though he’s released music and toured the world since making his debut in 2019, the 31-year-old Georgia-born artist has spent much of the last four years writing his way towards an album that would tell this story – his story – to the people who were ready to receive it. An emotionally walloping and deeply resonant body of work to be released in multiple parts – much like Teddy’s own journey of self-discovery – I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) is an album about diving headfirst into healing without any floatation devices. The ten-song Part One finds Teddy working out some very big, very real issues through his music. “Now I’m watching people connect with the messages and stories and realizing not only are the songs helping me, but they’re also helping them too,” he says. “It feels like all that work on the back end, all that internalizing, is finally making a difference.” Swims' breakout Multi-Platinum single “Lose Control” sees his success climbing to new heights, garnering over 2 billion global streams, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and hitting #1 at Top 40, Hot AC, R&B, and AC Radio. With nearly 5 billion career streams to date, a fully sold-out global headline tour, and new music in the works, Swims is in the midst of a record 2024.

Teddy Swims is such great performer. He pours his heart and soul into every song. He played an excellent set filled with all the songs we love and some new ones we will come to love. New song "Somethings I'll never know" was my highlight. So personal and raw that Teddy teared up whilst singing it. It seems like he's singing just to you. I met him at the meet and greet with a chat, a photo and the biggest hug. Real, honest and heartfelt. Well worth a look if you want a good night out. See him before he goes into the stratosphere and won't be able to play these smaller intimate events.
Forum Melbourne, AustraliaI don't know that this show could have been much better. Red Flag is an intimate venue with a really cool industrial feel, huge bar space, and nice bathrooms. That setting was great for this show because Teddy Swims is such a warm and inviting artist. We were there for the VIP event and the vibe was excellent all the way around. Teddy's performance was terrific even though he was hobbled by two sprained ankles. You can tell that he truly enjoys performing, especially with a band comprised of his best friends. This felt more like a big house party than a concert, very comfortable and laid-back. Amazing stuff.
Red Flag St. Louis, MOIt’s my third year in a row to see Teddy Swims. Tickets went from $25 at Avondale to $130 for seating in section 6 last night at Coca-Cola amphitheater. (But now he has a pyrotechnics budget too.) He cares about his fans and didn’t want an AstroWorld concert to happen again so he told everyone to drink water and stay hydrated as there was a heat wave in Birmingham, Alabama. I love his song “Little hands.” It’s so sweet. Becoming a parent truly changes everything. While I love seeing him in concert, I won’t pay $130 for a ticket plus $32 for a drink next time.
Coca-Cola Ampitheater Birmingham, ALGreat show! Teddy has a dreamy soulful voice, one of my faves ever, and his band/best friends are awesome. It’s my 2nd time seeing them, I wouldn’t hesitate to go again, they’re humble dudes who appreciate that they get to do their dream jobs. His original songs are improving and great, but we did miss hearing some of his awesome covers! His set was about 1.5hrs, opener was 45 minutes, doors opened at 7pm but nothing started until about 810pm, over by 1030pm. It was a perfect length for this 8 months pregnant momma in a standing room only venue (love the Opera House!)
The Opera House Toronto, ONExcellent concert, starting with Cian Ducrot as the supporting act, giving a great performance to warm up the crowd, followed by Teddy Swims himself, giving a stellar performance, including fan favourites such as The Door, Lose Control, 911, and Devil In A Dress, amongst a lot of others. Teddy Swims was on for about an hour and 45 minutes in total, going through two complete outfit changes at different points of the concert. Definitely recommend seeing Mr Swims if there is a chance. I will try to get tickets for his next visit, for sure.
