The project was created in 2010 by Karl, who hails from Granby (45° 24’ 0.0072” N, 72° 43’ 59.9880” W), when a head of luscious locks danced the night away to the sounds of Nirvana, Mr. Bungle, and Gilles Deleuze. VioleTT Pi’s uniquely entertaining style combines heavy-hitting grooves, an elfin voice, and a flashy form of neurosis that makes you want to think while you eat. Acknowledged as Montreal’s best beer froth drinker by Montreal itself, VioleTT Pi has sold as many as n albums and n concert tickets. I love it, but I don’t know what it’s about.
