About Vendredi
Veneris Dies est le premier EP de ce duo parisien. Et c'est une révélation pour qui sait tendre l'oreille. Six titres de musique électronique, mais avec ce supplément d'âme qui fait la différence. Charles puise dans ses racines techno, les musiques clubs qui l'ont fait grandir tout autant que les romantiques russes, Rachmaninov en tête. L'harmonie revient à Pierre-Elie, l'inspiration d'une enfance baroque, avec Bach et Haendel en compagnon de vie. Vendredi fonctionne à l'écoute, à l'instinct, puis au travail patiemment remis sur l'ouvrage pour parvenir à ce bel et fragile équilibre. Cet instant suspendu entre les contraires, le froid des machines et la chaleur du son, la fantasmagorie et la réalité. Comme sur les premiers disques de James Blake, héraut du dubstep londonien, fantôme à la voix blanche mais fou de R&B, que les deux ont écouté des nuits entières lorsqu'ils l'ont découvert.
