WOODZ debuted in 2014 with the multinational boy band UNIQ and later joined the project group X1 before establishing himself as a solo artist. In January 2024, he enlisted for mandatory military service and served in the military band. During this time, his performance of “Drowning” on KBS Immortal Songs went viral, and the track climbed music charts despite his enlistment, reaffirming his lasting impact. Having surpassed 100 million total streams on YouTube Music, WOODZ continues to achieve strong chart performance following his discharge.
