Xiuhtezcatl explores the complex duality of the cyclical trauma and healing in his lineage, resulting in an unapologetic celebration of culture despite the darkness he sees within himself and the world around him. Blending contemporary production with traditional Indigenous instrumentation and powerful lyrical storytelling, this genre-bending record pulls inspiration from Latin folk, rap, R&B, Indie and regional Mexican music.
