Hailing from Leeds, self-produced Gen-Z quartet Artio forge ferocious and incendiary electronica-infused alt-rock anthems that are deeply rooted in queer rage and the trans experience. Taking clear inspiration from fellow genre-defying trailblazers Enter Shikari, PVRIS and WARGASM to craft their innovative sound, the band zealously adhere to a DIY ethos - self-producing all their material, directing their own music videos, and creating custom stage outfits. Signed to Slam Dunk Records in 2021, their cathartic ‘Pyrokid’ EP garnered praise from BBC Radio 1, Kerrang, Rock Sound and Upset for its modern and nuanced take on a coming-of-age record and saw the band explode in popularity on TikTok after lead single 'Product Of My Own Design' deeply resonated with the platform's queer and trans communities.
