Die zwischen Hamburg und Bremen ansässigen ANCHORS & HEARTS sind beileibe keine Neulinge in der hiesigen Szene, vielmehr hat die Band seit der Gründung 2013 bereits drei Alben veröffentlicht. Live ist man besonders im Zuge des letzten Albums rumgekommen: Support für THE USED, CRAZY TOWN, IGNITE oder CALIBAN, Shows auf dem Deichbrand, Hurricane sowie Rock am Ring. Obendrauf noch eine erfolgreiche Doppel-Headliner-Tour mit WATCH OUT STAMPEDE. „Wir haben jedes Konzert genossen und waren extrem fokussiert auf die Shows, wodurch wir uns aber nur am Rande mit dem Schreiben neuer Songs befassten. Als Corona dann versuchte uns den Stecker zu ziehen, verspürten wir allerdings kein Verlangen nach Ruhe – im Gegenteil!“ Die zwangsverordnete Live-Pause funktionierte für ANCHORS & HEARTS wie ein Katalysator für neues Material. „Das Songwriting lief so flüssig wie noch nie. Nach nur sechs Wochen war alles fertig. Die neuen Songs komplett in einem Fluss entstanden, das hatten wir so noch nie“, berichtet der Sänger begeistert. Dass man mit Redfield Records nun den vierten Longplayer in Angriff nimmt, stellt für die erfahrene Band aber trotzdem noch mal ein absolutes Karriere-Highlight dar, da das Label für ANCHORS & HEARTS schon immer einer der Fixpunkte in der deutschen Szene war und eine Zusammenarbeit ein entsprechend erstrebenswertes Ziel darstellte: „Wir haben die Anfänge des Labels mitbekommen und viele Bands abgefeiert, die dort erschienen sind. Es gibt kein Label in Deutschland, das so sehr für die Musik steht, die wir lieben. Jetzt ein Teil der Redfield-Family zu sein, ist eine große Ehre für uns.“
