Alison Limerick is a black English singer, born and raised in London . She began her music career as a backing vocalist in the mid-80s after attending the London Contemporary School of Dance. She is best known for her 90s club anthems, most notably Where Love Lives, which was originally a club hit in 1991. It became top ten smash when re-released in 1996. She has also contributed to the musical project This Mortal Coil, singing on three of their albums; Filigree And Shadow (1986), Blood (1991) and most recently Dust And Guitars (2012). In 2017 she became a member of Brooklyn Funk Essentials and continues to write and tour with the band. The re-release of her 1998 album Spirit Rising, in December 2025 herelds a new album project due for release in spring 2026.
