With roots in the industrial heartland of New Jersey, Mackin’s music fuses gritty, mechanical textures with a playful, whimsical spirit. Mackin’s journey began amidst the buzzing factories and urban landscapes of New Jersey and later through college in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was there she joined the experimental rock n roll outfit Treemotel and also studied acting. This creative interlude added layers of theatrical depth to her music, shaping her distinctive style and stand out live performances. Upon relocating to Austin, Mackin channeled her experiences into Annabelle Chairlegs.Annabelle Chairlegs’ current catalogue is a fierce, intense rock ‘n’ roll ride trembling with spooky undertones.
