About Billy Idol
From punk pioneer to global superstar, Billy Idol has left an indelible mark in popular music and remained a household name for over three decades. His style, music, and attitude have transcended time and trend. Born in 1955 in Stanmore, North London, Idol spent several formative years living on Long Island, NY as a child before returning to the UK and emerging as a central figure of the British punk movement. As part of the infamous Bromley Contingent and a fan of the Sex Pistols, Idol was inspired to front the pioneering British punk band Generation X from 1976 until the band’s split in 1981. Determined to break through in America, Billy Idol hooked up with guitar genius Steve Stevens and a crucial musical partnership was forged. Billy Idol has created some of rock-n-roll’s most enduring anthems including “White Wedding,” “Dancing With Myself,” “Flesh For Fantasy,” “Hot In the City,” “Eyes Without A Face,” “Rebel Yell,” and “Cradle of Love,” among others. Billy Idol is the original punk rocker who found a way to take that sneering punk attitude into the pop and rock mainstream, carving out songs that have lasted a lifetime.

Finally got to see my preteen heartthrob live and he didn’t disappoint. I hope I have as much energy and I’m still rocking half as hard in 10 years! Joan Jett is still amazing and hasn’t aged a day since I last saw her 10 years ago. First time at this venue, I’m told it usually has a large shade covering sounds awesome in this Florida heat. Overall nice, parking is awful though.

Awesome Show. Billy is on top of his game. and still got it. He was all over the stage and full of energy. The crowd was totally into it and there were no dull moment.
Good mix of the new and the classics that only he could bring it. Steve Stevens was also great. Good to see him back with Billy just like Batman and Robin.

Incredible show! Billy Idol is still as good as when I first saw him when he filmed the "Mony, Mony" video at the Lakeland Civic Center in '87! Great group of musicians backing him up too!
Also has to be the best interaction of digital scenery with the stage lighting I have ever seen with a rock show! I highly recommend the "It's a Nice Day to...Tour Again" tour!

Great show. However, the Billy Idol kick drum volume level overpowered the Bass by about 400%. Overall, mix was fantastic. Could have been just a tad louder but im 65 and love loud kick ass rock.
Joan Jett’s overall sound level was too low. I could talk in a normal voice to my friend next to me. But these are my opinions only. Great event overall!

Fantastic. On point, sounded great, looked great, performed great. The only small criticism I have is he probably wasted too much time playing about 3 songs that should not have been played and it would have better if he played some of his deeper cuts that maybe his real fans that have his discography would have liked. Took the kids, we all had fun.
