Born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, but now based on Oahu, Brittni Paiva is a world-renowned ukulele virtuoso. Starting the instrument at age 11, Brittni quickly established herself as a generational talent, and achieved critical acclaim with her debut, winning the coveted Nā Hōkū Hanohano (Hawaiian Grammy)-award for Best New Artist in 2005 before going on to win three more Hōkū’s in subsequent years. She has a large following both at home and internationally, racking up many millions of views and streams across platforms, and has toured the world. Brittni has performed alongside stars like Jake Shimabukuro, Tommy Emmanuel, and Carlos Santana, and has also written, composed, and collaborated on work featured in major movies and TV shows like Running on Empty and Love is Blind. Brittni is of Danish, Portuguese, Japanese, and Hawaiian descent, and while she often seeks to push boundaries and break new ground in her work, she is always mindful of honoring her roots in Hawaii, both sonically and culturally. Brittni is autistic, and has an IQ of 138, two aspects of herself that she believes influence her approach to music in unique and dynamic ways. Brittni is very active in the studio, and has collaborated with a who’s who of Grammy winners and music legends, including Tom Scott, Michael McDonald, Ray Parker Jr., Arturo Sandoval, Dick Dale, Taj Mahal, to name but a few She has also written and produced for many of her fellow musicians, and, in her spare time, is a sought-after private ukulele instructor. In short, Brittni Paiva is widely considered to be one of the best ukulele players in the world. Her new album, Through the Chaos, releases on September 18, 2026.
