About Big Daddy Weave
Known for honest songs that tell personal stories of freedom in Christ, Big Daddy Weave has long been admired for their real-life, real-person openness. With songs like Redeemed, God Is In This Story, Heaven Changes Everything, My Story, The Lion and the Lamb, Overwhelmed, and Let It Begin, Big Daddy Weave has become one of the most beloved bands in Christian music. Millions have taken their anthems of the chain-breaking love of Jesus as their own and sung along to songs about the radical act of redemption. The band’s openness to go through whatever doors God opens for them has kept them going since their early days as students at the University of Mobile. Big Daddy Weave’s testimony is about a deep and personal faith in Jesus, no matter the circumstances. A mainstay at radio, the band has achieved multiple No. 1 singles. RIAA Platinum-certified Redeemed became an anthem of unprecedented impact when it spent 11 weeks at No. 1, was dubbed “Song of the Year” at the first annual K-LOVE Fan Awards, and earned Dove Award and Billboard Music Award nominations. Their follow-up hit, “The Lion and The Lamb,” has become one of the genre’s most-streamed songs. Big Daddy Weave members are Mike Weaver (lead vocals, guitar), Jeremy Redmon (guitar, vocals), Joe Shirk (saxophone, keys, vocals), Brian Beihl (drums), and Raul Alfonso (bass). They have amassed more than one billion career streams and have received numerous honors, including a Dove Award, ASCAP and BMI Awards, and the prestigious Rich Mullins Artist Impact Award, among others.

Such a beautiful and powerful night of worship and praise and prayer. I was in tears several times - tears of gratitude and tears of joy. As much as I love their music, the live sound is so much better than what's been produced. But the moments of preaching in between is what makes their concerts really special. It's not just entertainment, it's ministry. And the same could be said of Hannah Kerr and Tasha Layton. They also did some songs together, and at the end of the night had a time for people to come down and be prayed with, and they sang and prayed over everyone. Best concert of the year, so far.

The big daddy weave concert was life-changing. The Holy Spirit was present there and the show was electric. The atmosphere was so powerful and spiritual. We had the best time ever. It was the most intimate setting and best concert I’ve seen in my life. And I’ve been to many concerts at 64 years old. I have loved big daddy weave for 25 years and this was one of my bucket list check off’s. Hannah was phenomenal and so was Tanya… The venue was beautiful and the sound was spectacular. I cannot say enough about this concert. Love love love love loved it with every fiber of my being♥️

I'd seen BDW before, and they never disappoint. David Leonard was outstanding!! His true worship music was a wonderful start to the concert. Because he had limited instruments, the sound was beautiful and pure, a welcome departure from the busy rock sound. Megan Woods, who I was most looking forward to seeing, was a major disappointment. She seemed to be performing like a rock star instead of worshipping in communion. Flashy effects, no lyrics, and except for her two hits, the other songs were unintelligible through the sound system. Clearly she wasn't interested in the audience participating. I enjoy her music much more on the radio.

This is the BEST concert I’ve ever been to! It was so full of the Spirit! Mike is a gifted speaker, and I loved the whole thing including an altar call that left me in tears praying for all those who went forward! It was not a regular concert of any kind—it was like a piece of heaven came to earth! Jesus was all over every person in the room! Thank you for sharing so much about Jay, when I know this is still fresh for your band and families! Such a loss, but a gain for the kingdom! Blessings!
