Brainpower is a multi-platinum selling, pioneering, bilingual artist, songwriter and producer from Amsterdam. He was the first Hip Hop artist to win the MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Dutch Act. Having released 21 albums and 101 singles over the span of over 2 decades - including chart-topping hits in both Holland and Belgium - the prolific entertainer has received more than 50 awards and gold & platinum plaques throughout his career. Brainpower’s audience stretches internationally across more than 170 countries. Over the years, he has shared the bill with the most renowned entertainers in the game - Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Chaka Khan, Black Eyed Peas, Wyclef and Run DMC, to name but a few. Having played over 4100 concerts, he is a seasoned performer who truly feels at home on stage. On film, his music is featured in the #1 worldwide box-office hit The Equalizer 2 (starring Denzel Washington) as well as in the movie Thunderstruck. Brainpower has also lent his talent as an actor, having worked on 14 films and television shows thus far. On camera, he has played roles in 5 European movies (2 of which went gold and 1 platinum). As a voice actor he has played characters in 3 Disney films. Born Gertjan Mulder, “Brainpower” is widely respected as an entertainment entrepreneur. He has just announced a new 2026 Tour, recently released his 101st single, and is currently working on 4 new albums. A University of Amsterdam graduate, Brainpower holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication Science.
