Damn Skippy are a ska band, formed in the city of Leeds in March 2004. Practising frequently in a dank Hyde Park basement, it took just a couple of months before they had a load of songs written and had started gigging frenetically. The band loves gigs, and are well known for their energetic performances. Since their inception, they have had the pleasure of playing with many UK ska/punk luminaries, such as Sonic Boom Six, Catch it Kebabs, Random Hand, Roddy Radiation & The Dead Pets and also exciting and glamorous Americans, like MU330 and The AKAs. After selling quite a few copies of their home produced demos at gigs, the band recorded the EP Gloriously Shambolic in Manchester with skapunk uber producer Tim G in February 2006. They plan to record more tunes properly around the same time in 2007, and till then attempt to keep playing and amusing crowds in as many places as possible. www.damn-skippy.co.uk www.myspace.com/damnskippy
