Alabama native and stand-up comedian Derrick Stroup is not your average slow talking Southerner. With the cadence of an angry auctioneer, he locks people in with his detailed stories and over the top energy. He has been described as a fun mix of Lewis Black and Ron White on stage. Angry rant Comedy combined with the charm of southern storytelling and unique perspectives only someone from Harvest, Alabama could have. Derrick moved to Denver, Colorado in 2015 and has never looked back. Since then, he has become a regular headliner at the world-famous Comedy Works in Denver, Colorado along with headlining clubs all across the country. Derrick has toured alongside comics like Bert Kreischer, Larry the Cable Guy, John Crist, & Josh Blue. Derrick and John just finished a 42-city tour in 2022. Derrick was also recently selected as a JFL New Face in 2023. In 2019 Derrick won one of the biggest Comedy competitions in the country. The well-respected Comedy competition based out of Denver, Colorado has over 250 entries each year and has been running for over 20 years now.
