***English follows*** Dead Obies voient le jour à Montréal au printemps 2011, suite à quelques rencontres fortuites/d’adon lors des événements WordUP! Battles. En quelques mois, les rappeurs Snail Kid, 20Some, Yes Mccan, O.G. BEAR, RCA, et le producteur VNCE dressent la table de leur mythologie du $ud $ale avec la mixtape indépendante Collation Vol. 1, une pousse urbaine bilingue. Au printemps 2013, ils se retrouvent en finale des Francouvertes où ils raflent 15 prix, dont une bourse de 1000$ offerte par le Cirque du Soleil pour l'excellence de leur performance scénique ainsi que le prix SOCAN de la Chanson primée pour Machine, qui se retrouve sur leur premier album, Montréal $ud: un chemin de croix du $ud $ale au langage exalté paru sous Bonsound le 12 novembre 2013. -- Dead Obies formed in Montreal during the spring of 2011 after a few chance encounters at the WordUP! Battles. Months later, rappers Snail Kid, 20some, Yes Mccan, O.G. BEAR, RCA and producer VNCE put forth their bilingual mixtape Collation Vol. 1 and introduced fans to the mythological $ud $ale (Dirty $outh). In spring 2013, they won 15 prizes as Francouvertes finalists, including a $1,000 grant from the Cirque du Soleil for their excellent live performance, and the Prix Socan de la chanson primée. The winning song, Machine, can be found on their first album Montréal $ud: $ud $ale's exalted message released via Bonsound on November 12th, 2013. http://www.deadobies.com/
