About Dorothy
Dorothy Martin is the firestarter behind Los Angeles-based rock band DOROTHY—a powerhouse vocalist and songwriter known for fusing raw emotion, spiritual grit, and thunderous rock ‘n’ roll. Born in Budapest and raised in San Diego, Dorothy exploded onto the scene with ROCKISDEAD in 2016, earning massive DSP traction with anthems like “Raise Hell” and “Wicked Ones”. With each release—28 Days in the Valley (2018) and Gifts From The Holy Ghost (2022)—she’s built a global fanbase drawn to her blend of heavy guitar, gospel undertones, and fearless storytelling.
Dorothy unleashes her most personal and genre-bending work yet with her fourth album, The Way. Produced by Scott Stevens (Halestorm, Shinedown), it blends hard rock with Southern soul and Americana spirit. Tracks like “MUD,” “Tombstone Town” (feat. Dorothy put on an amazing show!! Her voice is actually BETTER live than recorded, quite a rarity in today’s music scene. The band played extended instrumental sections, which were amazing as well.
In another incredibly pleasant surprise, Spirit Animal, the opening act, gave a wonderful performance. I enjoyed their music and high energy.
This tour is well worth seeing, and I look forward to seeing both bands when they’re in town again.

The concert was phenomenal! Each band had their own unique set and it was sick! The only thing was that security did nothing about a man who had clearly been drinking too much. He was being obnoxious and and falling on people. At one point he fell over completely in the process he pushed my friend over. He was right in front of security and they did nothing about it.

Dorothy was fantastic. Loved her interaction with the crowd.
But, the sound system @ The Signal wasn't done right. In the upper balcony, unless you knew the songs, you couldn't understand any of the lyrics. I walked from the balcony to the front of the stage and was able to hear everything clearly. Felt bad for the folks that spent more for the balcony and got that type of sound.

First time at this venue, and it was unreal. Everyone that works there is nice, the venue has good food, free water, and is super clean. Plus the concert stage and sound is spectacular. As for Dorothy, she is one of the finest performers in the present day rock scene, and her voice is out of this world. One of the best shows I’ve been to in awhile🤘🏼🔥

This was my first time at BackSatge @ Revel. Dorothy never disappoints! Dorothy’s voice is razor sharp & crystal clear. She was amazing! And the band is an astonishingly talented group of musicians! They plays lots of favorites & new songs.
I even got to hug Dorothy and tell her I love her!
It was an amazing night that I will never forget! Thank you ❤️🤘
