About Dorothy
Gifts From The Holy Ghost, Dorothy Martin’s third studio album as frontwoman for the pseudonymous, rock band Dorothy, is the album she’s always wanted, and has perhaps been destined to make. Born from a sense of divine, spiritual urgency, it’s Dorothy’s most bombastic and victoriously rock and roll work yet. While the band’s first, irreverently named album ROCKISDEAD, was made on a combination of whiskey and heartbreak—inspiring Rolling Stone to name them one of rock’s most exciting new acts, and JAY-Z to sign them to his label Roc Nation— Gifts was built on sobriety, health and spiritualism, in a way that reverses the clichéd ‘good girl gone bad narrative’. Balanced on a great rock and roll spectrum, encompassing everything from swampy blues to ’90s alternative, on Gifts, Dorothy has fulfilled her purpose as an artist, entertainer and spiritual being. She’s conquered darkness with light, numbness with feeling, disharmony with unity—all while delivering one of this year’s most fun rock and roll records.

Dorothy was fantastic. Loved her interaction with the crowd. But, the sound system @ The Signal wasn't done right. In the upper balcony, unless you knew the songs, you couldn't understand any of the lyrics. I walked from the balcony to the front of the stage and was able to hear everything clearly. Felt bad for the folks that spent more for the balcony and got that type of sound.

First time at this venue, and it was unreal. Everyone that works there is nice, the venue has good food, free water, and is super clean. Plus the concert stage and sound is spectacular. As for Dorothy, she is one of the finest performers in the present day rock scene, and her voice is out of this world. One of the best shows I’ve been to in awhile🤘🏼🔥

Love Dorothy as they are one of the best rock bands out there today. Wish they had played Black Sheep, but they added a surprise take on Sweet Dreams which they nailed. Venue is incredible and hope we (Maine) can bring some more noise next time. I know my daughter will bring more friends to do just that - Promise! Love the new album, too!

The venue Red Flag STL was a great place for Dorothy to play. A large crowd an intimate venue and Dorothy nail it with a great performance. Vocally strong and her guitarist Sam Bam was a homecoming for him. Dorothy is simply one of the great rock performers out there but add Dirty Honey and Mac Saturn and you’ve got a killer triple bill!

This is the third time I’ve seen her, but right up front of the stage this time.First off Classless Act and Joyous Wolf were great and Dorothy was better than the last 2 times seeing her. Amazing voice and really seems to love being a rocker!! Long live rock!! Only wish they could’ve played a little longer. Looking forward to the next time

I drove 2 hrs on a work night to this show. The openers were pretty entertaining but Dorothy blew the roof off! SO glad I took the opportunity to see her perform live. Possibly better live than in her videos. She's now going to be a permanent addition to my concert schedule anytime she comes to Indiana. So much fun!

This show was awesome! Dorothy and her band kicked ass. She is incredible! The opening act Classess Act was energetic and sounded great. This is a band to watch for. ! As for Joyus Wolf, I was not impressed. The only song I knew was the closer which is played on the radio - Mother Rebel. The were disappointing.

Fantastic! The band sounded great. We got a lot of new songs from the new album 28 Days in the Valley, Out in March, including the debut performance of a smoldering track written by Linda Perry called Black Tar and Nicotine! Along with songs fro the Rock is Dead album like Raise Hell, Wicked Ones and my favorite Whiskey Fever.

Great show...Dorothy played a full fan-pleasing set with high energy! The crowd definitely new her music as they sang along with every song...even the new songs from her album "Gifts from the Holy Ghost." If you get a chance to see Dorothy in a smaller venue to get the more intimate setting, do it on this current tour!

Dorothy was amazing she was one of the best performers on that stage! It was a shame it was so freakin hot and they gave her a very short set. I wanted so much more amazing Dorothy music! It was also sad that out of 9 bands that played she was the only women on stage....
