Elephant, Rotterdam's protean purveyors of silver-toned songs, forge their melodic indie rock with light and darkness, calm and intensity. What starts off indrawn and dreamy, could easily erupt into a fiery solo. The four friends are dogged optimists, but even Elephant gets it under their skin sometimes. Following the lauded and halcyon Big Thing (2022) and Shooting for the Moon (2023), their newest album III (2025) sees the band increasingly seeking friction and skirting the edges. As a consummate live band – after several Dutch tours and appearances at the Lowlands Festival and Reeperbahn Festival – Elephant is eying the border, with upcoming tours in Germany, Belgium, France and the United Kingdom. But regardless of when and where you see Elephant, it's 'not the night, but the morning'; the morning sun will be greeting you.
