Eaves was a german hardcore-band from Aachen. Their style is a mixture between fast melodic new school hardcore and some screamo- and mosh-elements. In some reviews it was called 'emo-violence'. Eaves's lyrics deal with personal and political subjects. They're mostly written in German, which allows them to express themselves in a deeper way. The band was formed in march 2001. Soon they started to play a lot of shows in Germany. After they released a 4-song demo CD in late 2001 they started playing shows in Europe (mostly neighboring countries). In march 2002 they played a few shows on a mini-tour in Germany and Belgium. In the summer of 2002 they recorded a split-LP with the German band ATROX which just was named 'Atrox vs. Eaves'. Then in march 2003, they played a second tour in Germany. Most of the shows were together with THE DEATH OF ANNA KARINA from Italy. A split 7" with the German band FRANCIS BRADY has been released in September 2003. Their second full length 'Höhenangst' was released in 2004. Several months after this release Eaves broke up. "Due to several reasons (mainly related to the time some of us are able to spend with the band in the future) we decided to call it quit for Eaves now". The last Eaves show took place on the 5th of november in Aachen, together with KILLERBEAT KOMMANDO and TREASURE CHEST AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW. Eaves are: Jochen: Vocals Felix: Drums Pauzel: Bass Scholl: Guitar Marc: Guitar/Vocals -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Members of ex- Eaves and ENGRAVE formed a new band called TRAINWRECK. They recorded their first 12" in january 2006. The first shows were also played in spring 2006. A first european tour took place in march with BURIAL YEAR followed by a second european tour in may/ june with CEASE UPON THE CAPITOL. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
