Francesco Taskayali (Rome, 1991) is an Italian-Turkish composer and pianist. He writes music inside specific places — islands, ships, seas, gardens, mountains — gathering their voices and landscapes and returning them as sound. He has released over twenty albums, including Pandataria, Hivern and From My Rooftop, and has performed in over thirty countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. Since 2024 he has been co-artistic director of Piano City Palermo. He works in long-term partnerships with Hermès, Missoni and Agnona. He frames his catalogue as "Mediterranean minimalism": the same harmonic restraint as the Northern post-classical canon, with a Latin emotional memory underneath.
