This masterful country stylist from Houston, Texas has been thrilling audiences for more than 50 years. Gene’s very first radio single, the self-penned “If It’s That Easy” was released in 1962 so the entertainer is celebrating over 60 Years in the music business. Known as “The Singer’s Singer,” Gene Watson’s tally of 23 top-ten hits, 6 Country#1s and five Gospel #1s, has led to membership in the Grand Ole Opry and the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame. Radio listeners are still transfixed whenever classics like “Farewell Party,” “Fourteen Carat Mind” or “Love in the Hot Afternoon” are played. The depth of emotion in his singing, his brilliant phrasing, his jaw-dropping range and the power in the lyrics he chooses are all factors in the awe he inspires in both fans and his musical peers. At an age when most people are contemplating retirement, Gene Watson is still making some of the greatest records of his life, receiving such accolades as Album of the Year and even Album of the Decade from journalists around the world. Watson earned the title of 2010 Country Music Legend of the Year, from Citadel Media’s Real Country Radio Network nationwide fan vote. Watson is one of the rare singers who still sings in the same key as he did 30 years ago and his audiences respond with standing ovations night after night when he nails the octave jumping last note on his most requested song, the now country classic “Farewell Party.” As Rodney Crowell so aptly stated, “Just when I think Country Music is a lost art form, something by Gene Watson catches my ear and I can breathe again.” Considered one of the finest pure-country singers of his generation Watson offers up one of the best traditional country shows in the business. His stunning voice captivates audiences and keeps his fans coming back again and again.

Gene Watson sounded as amazing as he did years ago and he is my favorite country singer! Gene and the band made us laugh and filled our hearts with awesome country music and great songs that brought wonderful memories back. It's my second time seeing him and I hope there will be more chances to come. Thanks to Gene for making this country girl's night! We drove from Columbus and would do it again to see Gene! It was difficult to see him at times because of people taller than us but just hearing him made it worth it.

LaSalle County Steakhouse & Horseshoe Bar Cotulla, TXThe Gene Watson concert that we went to at the GEM Theater in Calhoun Georgia was one of the best, NO, it was THE VERY BEST concert that we've ever been to, and we've been to several of them. We had seen Gene on Youtube several times, and we thought that there is no way that he would be that good in person, we were wrong, Gene Watson on TV is exactly what you get in person. If anybody has the chance to go see Gene in concert, then I strongly urge them to go.
Tuck's Bar Minor Hill, TNTonight was our first time being at Tuck’s. We were impressed by all your hardworking employees, from the guy who showed us where to park, your servers and even the people who also came to see the show were so very nice & friendly. Very well organized and food was terrific! The music was great…and Gene Watson did not disappoint. We drove 2 hours & were a bit skeptical about those backroads, but y’all have a “build it & they will come” Atmosphere combined with A-1 service….we will be back! 👏👏👏❤️
