Originally founded in the small, rural town of Pittstown, New Jersey, The Happy Fits burst out of the gate in 2016 with Awfully Apeelin’, a self-released EP that climbed all the way to #5 on the Spotify US Viral 50, resulting in the group’s decision to drop out of school and pursue the band full time. In the years that followed, they would go on to release three widely lauded full-length LPs, embark on numerous headline tours across the globe, rack up more than 300 million streams across platforms, land festival slots, and develop a diehard fanbase across the US and Europe on the strength of their rapturous live show. Comprised of Calvin Langman (lead vocals/cello), Luke Davis (drums), and newcomers Nico Rose (guitar), and Raina Mullen (guitar), The Happy Fits kick off an exciting new era with the release of their sprightly new single “Everything You Do.” With a newfound spirit and vigor, the track is an intoxicating, heartsick anthem with infectious hooks, earworm melodies, and dynamic instrumentation heralding a roll-down-the-windows summer vibe. “Everything You Do” marks their first new music to release in nearly three years as they make their anticipated return and hint at more music to come later this year. One of the best all around concerts I’ve been to of upcoming artists. All of the acts were super polished and just plain good. With ticket prices for big acts getting outrageous, this was a Big Bang for the money.
Wonder Ballroom Portland, ORAbsolutely wonderful. The set was a great mix of old & new, & the energy was great throughout, ebbing & flowing to keep engaged. I also loved the openers. Will 100% be trying to see them live again.
Irving Plaza New York, NYAmazing show!! It was everything I was hoping for! They played all my fave songs (Mary, Black Hole, Dirty Imbecile, Do You See Me?) And as expected, the Cello went hard ASF. The harmonies literally gave me chills!
Emo's Austin Austin, TXLove this band! Saw them open for the Maine a few years ago and have been listening since. Got to hear some great new songs. Such a unique sound and you can tell they love making music!
World Cafe Live Philadelphia, PA3rd time seeing them. New lineup did not disappoint. Such great energy . Nico and Raina are amazing additions. Old catalog reworked to fit in these wonderful talents could possibly have made these songs even better.
