ISQ is the original project of London-based vocalist and songwriter Irene Serra — a distinctive and genre-blurring presence on the UK’s contemporary music scene. Blending jazz musicianship with alternative pop sensibility and electronic textures, ISQ sits at the intersection of songcraft and improvisation. The band features Richard Sadler (bass), Chris Nickolls (drums/electronics) and Luca Boscagin (guitar), musicians whose credits include Neil Cowley Trio, Andy Sheppard and Cinematic Orchestra. Praised by Clash Magazine for exploring “the soulful possibilities of improvisatory music” and selected as Time Out London Critics’ Choice, ISQ has built a loyal following through word of mouth and powerful live performances.
