About Jan-Vincent Velazco
Vincent is a UK-based drummer with years of live and studio experience. During his career, he has toured the UK, Europe, South America, North America and Japan and has done session work, collaborated and/or recorded with the following: Gus G (Ozzy Osbourne & Firewind), Pendragon, Raymond Watts PIG/KMFDM, The 69 Eyes, Steven Rothery (Marillion), Ben Christo (The Sisters of Mercy) Esprit D’Air and many more. He has also played drums on a Lexus Car Commercial, the BBC and ITV. With Pendragon, he has recorded 4 albums, a live DVD, and played and headlined in major festivals in Europe and the U.S. alongside bands such as Dream Theater, Scorpions, Marillion, Steve Hackett, Saxon, and Blue Oyster Cult. In 2017, they played shows in Japan and Canada followed by a European tour. Vincent then went on to record the albums “Men Who Climb Mountains” and “The World” at Thin Ice Studios. Later on he recorded the album “Love Over Fear”, which became Amazon’s Best Selling Album for a week, spent 3 months in the Top 10 Official Progressive Charts and was number 4 in the Best Album Category in the 2020 Prog Reader’s Poll. Whilst playing with PIG, they performed several UK headline shows, a month long headline tour in the U.S. and supported Killing Joke in 2018. In 2019, PIG went on a UK tour with U.S.-based industrial band, 3Teeth. In 2021, Vincent started working with world-renowned guitar virtuoso, Gus G, who is best known as the guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne and founder of Firewind. They recorded the album “Quantum Leap” and it was released in October 2021 via AFM Records. The album has reached #7 in the Official Album Charts in Greece, #4 on iTunes Charts in the US and #26 in the US Hard Music Charts. It also landed the #2 spot in the Best Guitar Albums of 2021 by Guitar World.
