About John Adams Music
A Singer/Songwriter/Busker hailing from Aberdare in the South Wales Valleys. His acoustic approach compliments a unique and impressive vocal ability and his song writing shares innermost thoughts, and purposeful observations.
"Born performer, whose smile has the ability to blind and whose voice has the ability to pierce the heart" - Musicroom.com
After John’s debut album, aptly named "The Pavement is My Stage" reached No.7 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts he took a leap of faith and left his job as a Mathematics Teacher. That gamble paid off and John has gone on to support household names such as Take That, Lemar, Stooshe, T’Pau and Katherine Jenkins. His hard work and impressive live performance has gained a strong following of 21,000 twitter followers, 28,000 Facebook fans and over 6 million views on YouTube.
"Perfect vocals, and the way his story telling lyrics unfold keep you transfixed from beginning to end" - WalesOnline
Eager to show his progression John will be releasing his EP “You Never Know Who’s Listening” this year which combines his live organic sound with a minimal electronic production to make a sound that is satisfyingly different from the usual guitar wielding Singer/Songwriter. The first release “Dandelion Wishes” has received over two million plays on Spotify promising to be this year’s most talked about viral Spotify hit. This was followed by his latest single “See You Again” that has already been play listed by BBC Radio Wales and been awarded BBC Wales/Arts Council Launchpad funding.
“Haunting vocals and natural lyricism” - Celebmix
John spends his life on the road busking and performing and is a regular face at the UK’s largest festivals including Sportsbeat Festival, The Isle of Wight Festival, Grillstock, Lechlade Festival, Ponty’s Big Weekend Victorious Festival, lakefest, Wychwood Festival and Glass Butter Beach Festival.
“John Adams has the ability to capture a mood and emotion solely through his voice” - Music Crowns
Earlier in his career John appeared on The X Factor singing "Cannonball" by Damien Rice. He reached the last 12 boys and was widely credited for getting "Cannonball" back into the charts. Making chart history as the first time a song had re-entered at a higher position than the original release.
