Award-winning singer/songwriter Jamey Johnson has served as country music’s north star for nearly two decades, inspiring a generation of artists with his unforgettable albums that have built a bridge connecting traditional country with the music of today. His new album, Midnight Gasoline, is his first new solo studio album in 14 years, making it among the most-anticipated releases of the last decade. It’s his sixth album and his first project with the partnership of Warner Music Nashville and his label, Big Gassed Records. It is also the first of his Cash Cabin Series, a collection of albums recorded at the famed studio, which was once owned by Johnny and June Carter Cash and is now owned by their son, musician/producer John Carter Cash. The album’s first half was produced by The Kent Hardly Playboys--Wayd Battle, Jim “Moose” Brown, Tom Bukovac, T.W. Cargile, Kevin “Swine” Grant, Cowboy Eddie Long, Dave McAfee, James Mitchell and Chris Powell. Dave Cobb, who also worked on That Lonesome Song and The Guitar Song, produced the album’s second half, including “Saturday Night in New Orleans,” “One More Time,” “Sober,” “Tired of It All,” “No Time Like the Past” and “What You Answer To.” Midnight Gasoline, known as Cash One, is a musical continuation of his last two solo studio albums, That Lonesome Song, which was certified platinum for 1 million in sales, and the gold-certified 2010 album, The Guitar Song, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Album Chart. Rolling Stone and Spin named The Guitar Song to their all-genre Top 5 Best Albums of the Year.

Jamey Johnson put on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen (I’ve been to a lot of concerts). He played for at least a solid two hours. Not only did he play his songs he also played gospel and some old covers. His dad came out for a little bit which was awesome too. I am definitely going back next times he goes on tour.
Louisville Palace Theatre Louisville, KYThe show, like Jamey, was perfect. My wife and I came from Brazil, but first I had to recover from COVID and change the flight date. It was the biggest effort to see the show, but with the grace of God, everything worked out. God bless Jamey Johnson and his band. Congratulations on your songs and the show.
Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort Cherokee, NCPleasantly surprised. That song “in color” is something else 👌🏽 only played for 38 minutes as there was lightning about a mile out from the festival so they had to shut it down. I was thankful as all of our clothes were soaked sitting in wet seats and he got to cut out all the cover songs out of his set.
Florida strawberry festival Plant City, FLIncredible night, Jamey played some of his own music along with some covers (Waylon, Charlie Daniels, John Anderson, Vern Gosdin, Jerry Reed, etc.). He also debuted his new song “What A View”. In a world where old school, outlaw country is a dying breed, Jamey Johnson stands tall and keeps the genre alive and well. And thank God for that.
The Wharf Amphitheater Orange Beach, ALJamey has always put on a get show. It’s so good to hear real country music. He can make you feel like you are living the same story in the lyrics . What an incredible songwriter he is. Jamey doesn’t get the credit he deserves, in my opinion Jamey one of today’s best in country music.
