Jorge Glem is a Latin GRAMMY® winner and GRAMMY® nominee, a virtuoso of the Venezuelan cuatro, mandolinist, and producer, widely recognized as one of Venezuela’s most innovative musical voices. From Cumaná, Venezuela, and now based in the U.S., he has made it his mission to bring the Venezuelan cuatro to global audiences, redefining its role across genres and stages. Glem has performed solo cuatro concertos alongside renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel and major orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the San Francisco Symphony, and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, earning standing ovations at festivals such as Edinburgh. In 2025, he made his debut with the New York Philharmonic during its summer series across New York City, performing as a featured soloist across multiple boroughs, marking a major milestone in his international career. He has also appeared with Jon Batiste at Carnegie Hall and collaborated with artists including Paquito D’Rivera, Rubén Blades, Carlos Vives, Natalia Lafourcade, Gaby Moreno, and Calle 13, seamlessly integrating the cuatro into jazz, salsa, bluegrass, rock, and pop. A founding member of C4 Trío, he has earned multiple Latin GRAMMY® honors and a GRAMMY® nomination. His projects include the Latin GRAMMY® nominated album Brooklyn-Cumaná with Sam Reider and Stringwise with César Orozco.
