2018年2月に結成。2018年2月、当時、18歳の2人と23歳の2人の計4人で結成。「出れんの!?サマソニ!? 2018」へ出場し、最終審査まで進出。 2018年10月、配信シングル『Suck a Lemmon』をリリース。現在は月3～6回のペースで渋谷、新宿、下北沢にてライブを中心に活動中。 バンド名の由来はあらゆる音楽ジャンルの色を取り入れて新しいことをやりたいという考えで、全ての色を混ぜると黒になることからくる"黒い"と、メンバーが全員ブラックミュージックを好むことから、そこから受けた影響や衝撃を日本人である自分たちなりに昇華するという意味を込めBlackを日本語にした"黒い"から「Kroi」と命名。 現代の音楽シーンにアンテナを張りながらも歴史へのリスペクトを忘れないことが、また新しい音楽を生む最高のきっかけと考えている。 新しいことへの挑戦という共通意識を持って活動中。
