About Kery James
Né de parents haïtiens, ayant grandi en Guadeloupe, Kery James, Alix Mathurin de son vrai nom, se distingue très jeune par la qualité de ses textes ciselés et sa sensibilité à fleur de peau. À onze ans, le jeune Kery James se fait remarquer à la MJC d’Orly pour ses talents d’auteur, de danseur et de rappeur. Il débute sa carrière au sein du collectif Mafia K’1 Fry. Figure majeure du rap français depuis près de trente ans, Kery James ne cesse de se renouveler et de surprendre. Son rap teinté d’un engagement ardent contre les inégalités s’inscrit dans une démarche humaniste, guidée par un optimisme pugnace. Multipliant les succès, l’artiste a vendu plus de 700.000 albums ces dernières années, rempli 7 Olympia, 4 Zénith, 2 AccorArena et rassemblé près de 100 000 spectateurs autour de sa première pièce « À Vif ». Récemment auteur associé au Théâtre National de Chaillot, Kery James récolte une nouvelle fois le succès avec son second film « Banlieusards 2 » (disponible sur Netflix) et sa seconde pièce de théâtre « À Huis Clos » actuellement en tournée dans toute la France.
