About Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real
Since his debut over a decade ago, Texas and Hawaii-based Nelson has toured the world with POTR, playing countless sold-out shows and festivals, winning fans with electric liveperformances and a singular sound. They’ve also released seven studio albums to date including his most recent, 2021’s A Few Stars Apart. Produced by Dave Cobb, the album spent seven weeks at #1 on the Americana Albums chart and received widespread acclaim, with Rolling Stone declaring, “His best album yet…Nelson’s most compact, streamlined, and focused album,” while The Tennessean affirmed, “a collection of lyrically stirring, musically multifarious and ultimately hopeful roots rock storytelling.” Nelson also co-produced the music for 2018’s lauded A Star Is Born in addition to appearing in the film, and went on to win a BAFTA Award for Best Original Music, and a GRAMMY Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Great venue, incredible artist! I drove up 2.5 hours (and home after the show) to see Lukas, and it was worth every mile and every yawn on the way home. Truly incredible! Also kudos to the security folks who managed to get a pair of hooting and screeching women to tone it down, at least during the quiet songs! Truly excellent show. Please, bring him back again!

So knuckleheads garage great venue awesome venue so I'll tell Talia keys open for Lucas Nelson and potr. Talia keys was amazing. Lukas Nelson and potr they where absolutely amazing. It was like my wildest dream. I have to see them again because it still doesn't feel real. I almost had somebody pinch me. Lol Definitely will be following this tour

He is an amazing musician! His band & him are great performers. The venue is fine; the VIP section is tricky because poles block the stage & people stand in front of you . It felt safe & was clean Parking is a bit tricky as the entrance isn’t on the off ramp but a side street

The band was awesome as always!!! Minglewood Hall's AC was not working and it got real hot in there. I would hang out in a tornado to hear my favorite band Lukas Nelson and POTR!!!! A little bit of AC would have been nice for the band as well as the fans!!!!!!

AMAZING CONCERT!!! The energy was strong the whole time and the people in attendance were totally engaged. The music wasn't too loud, so you could understand all the words. All the songs had meaning and were very well written. Lukas and the boys are so talented, I will definitely go again. Fantastic job boys!

Great set that included a hard rockin' rendition of "Bloody Mary Morning." All the musicians were excellent entertainers in addition to being skilled musicians. Nelson's live vocals were soulful, strong, and pure with a deep blues vibe that made me think of Marvin Gaye. Fantastic vibe with the audience with performance of "Find Yourself."

Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real were absolutely great at the National. The band was tight and sounded great. They played everything I wanted to hear plus some new favorites. The crowd was enjoying the show and sang along when prompted. So glad I went. I will definitely see them again.
