Singer-songwriter Laura Veirs has produced 14 albums over 26 years, has toured internationally and has collaborated with luminaries such as kd lang, Neko Case, Sufjan Stevens, Jim James (of My Morning Jacket), The Decemberists, Bill Frisell and many more. Her music blends the poetic sensibilities of contemporary folk with the melodic frameworks of indie rock. Veirs’ songs are literate and emotionally intelligent. Her work has been praised in the New York Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Washington Post and many other publications. She also is a published author, podcaster, teacher and painter. She lives in Portland, OR with her blended family of 4 teens, a husband, a dog and a cat.
