About La Bottine Souriante
La Bottine Souriante voit le jour à l’automne 1976 dans Lanaudière, une région du Québec où le métissage entre racines celtiques et acadiennes est venu fertiliser le terroir d’ici. L’arrivée du groupe sur la scène artistique québécoise s’inscrit dans un mouvement de retour aux sources qui a permis à toute une génération, au cours des années 70, de redécouvrir ses traditions.
En plus de ses musiciens actuels, La Bottine Souriante a compté au sein de ses rangs plus d’une vingtaine d’autres artistes. Cette rotation constante a permis au groupe d’évoluer au fil des ans. Le groupe a réussi à se construire une renommée qui a depuis longtemps voyagé au-delà des frontières du Québec. Aujourd’hui, La Bottine Souriante constitue une référence importante de la culture québécoise dans le milieu de la Musique du monde.
Le groupe légendaire La Bottine Souriante a sorti son nouvel album Domino! le 17 novembre 2023.
