Danish electro-pop singer Medina entered the danish charts for the first time in 2009 with her album “Velkommen Til Medina”, whose lead single “Kun For Mig” was the biggest hit of the year in Denmark. The song spent 17 straight weeks in top 5 on the Danish chart incl. 6 weeks as #1. Today, the song is one of the most legendary Danish pop songs. Later, the English version, “You And I”, was released. It quickly became a global hit and reached top chart placements in US and UK, and a #1 chart placement in Germany. The Danish album also incl. the singles “Velkommen Til Medina”, “Vi To”, and “Ensom”. All got #1 chart placements in Denmark. In 2011, Medina released the album “For Altid” incl. hit singles “Synd For Dig”, “For Altid”, “Kl. 10”, “Lyser I Mørke”, and “12 Dage”. Simultaneously, she continued her journey on the int. music scene with singles such as “Forever” and “Addiction”. "Addiction" also charted as #1 on the US Billboard Dance airplay chart. Medina has done int. collab. with artists such as Wolfgang Gartner, deadmau5 on the remix for “You And I” and latest M-22 on their collab. single “First Time” which today has more than 181 mil. streams WW. She has cemented her throne as the queen of Danish pop continuing to release #1 hit singles incl. “Jalousi”, which was awarded “Biggest Hit of the Year” the year it came out.
