Since the release of their Inception EP in 2018, Overt Enemy has carved their own path in the global metal scene with gnarly, confrontational & relentless Texas metal. Hailing from Mission, Texas, USA, on the US/Mexico Border, their unique style distills 50 years of metal into an addictive cocktail that blends Texas groove, face-melting twin guitars, thought provoking lyrics, and a triple lead vocal attack. This is a band with no limits for fans of Gojira, Slayer, Fear Factory, Pantera, Body Count, Down, Mastodon, Killer Be Killed & Orbit Culture. While thrash certainly runs through their veins, their highly anticipated new album “Insurrection” explores a wider sonic landscape emphasizing the band’s song writing capabilities and diverse vocal styles. With songs that range from conceptual sci-fi to cautionary tales, prophetic visions of the apocalypse, and scathing globally applicable political commentary no two songs are the same and no topic is off limits. Overt Enemy is a band primed to explode and is one of the top underground artists to watch post-pandemic. Overt Enemy continues to charge forward, warriors in the metal resurgence, intent on shaping a new era of metal music on their own terms; fueled by faith, family, fan-focus, and an unyielding commitment to their craft.
