Every so often, a band or artist comes along that changes the temperature in the room. They can't be defined by one of their songs or be put into any one genre. As for its leader, Jimmy Gnecco, after touring with everyone from Lana Del Rey to A-Ha, via Royston Langdon (Spacehog), Citizen Cope, Blue October, The Gutter Twins (Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan), ... he now holds the microphone in concert for the band Humanist, with whom he is touring Europe in 2024, whether as headliner in the UK (in October), or as opening act for Depeche Mode, or Jane's Addiction. An alchemist of emotions, Jimmy Gnecco has put his heart and soul into the songs on this new album with his band OURS, “New Age Heroine” (released on September 20, 2024), to find a way of transcribing the complex range of feelings that define the humanity of each and every one of us, to offer the world something that transcends all that, in a surge of love, compassion, forgiveness, understanding...
