There have been at least two groups called Plus One: 1) A Swedish synthpop band most famous for their 1985 12" single "Nevermore"; 2) A Christian pop group formed by Atlantic Records in 2000. The band made up of vocalists Nate Cole, Gabe Combs, Jeremy Mhire, Jason Perry, and Nathan Walters remains one of the best selling artists in Christian pop. After suffering label woes and mis-management, the group disbanded in the fall of 2004. Plus One remains the best-selling, award-winning group responsible for more than 1.2 million records sold over just a couple years. Nate Cole and Gabe Combs are currently residing in California, promoting their new band Castledoor while Nathan Walters continues pursuing a solo career in Nashville.
