About Porcupine Tree
Porcupine Tree are Steven Wilson, Richard Barbieri and Gavin Harrison. They are a hugely influential, relentlessly creative British rock band. First dreamt up by Wilson in 1987 as an outlet for experimental recordings he was making outside of his synth-pop duo No-Man, Porcupine Tree expanded to become a proper band in the early ’90s in order to further explore his ideas both on record and on stage. Over the years Porcupine Tree have constantly evolved as their expansive music has shifted from pastoral psychedelic rock and ambient electronic soundscapes to experimental pop and eventually - with “21st century masterpiece” In Absentia (Classic Rock) - a propulsive metal sound all of their own. Their latter records effortlessly combined each of those genres and allowed Porcupine Tree to occupy a musical universe unique to them. They released ten albums between 1992’s On The Sunday of Life and 2009’s The Incident. The band entered a period of hiatus following their biggest live show up to that point at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2010. A new album, Closure / Continuation, was announced in November 2021.

Incredible. A life-affirming experience. Traveled to Vienna from Prague, and if adult life allowed it, I’d follow them every night of the tour. A once-in-a-lifetime band that exists in the same brief moment in time as you, me, ultimately the universe and cosmos surrounding us. What are you waiting for? Catch them while they’re around. 42/10.

Disappointed. The volume was way too loud for the equipment used and not once all the sounds were blending into a distorted painful mess. Spent the most of the gig with my ears plugged, which actually helped me to hear the music properly. 3 starts only cause of my all time favorite band

AWESOME!!! What a gig! Brilliant performance sound and lights were amazing and the venue was superb, really well organised, nice clean toilets, efficient and helpful staff only minor niggle was that the venue isnt very well signposted as Ziggo Dome but google maps found it okay!

The show was incredible…my ONLY complaints are that 1) it was too loud (I don’t mind loud…this was TOO loud; and 2) as an old fart, I wish the show had started 30-60 minutes earlier, as it was a late work night for me.

I’m just thankful beyond words that I had the chance to see them play. This will go down as one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. I’m saying that now, and I’ll stick by that down the road. I just know it.

Dutch people are crazy about them! We were 2 hours early but still couldn't make it to the front row. Still a very lovely memory and neck pain that I will cherish forever after all the headbanging. Well worth all the wait.

I never thought I would get to see Porcupine Tree in concert. I've been a fan since almost the beginning. My all time favorite band. The concert did not disappoint. Great musicianship. Steven is interactive with the audience. Almost three hours. Spectacular.

Poor sound management (ill-defined muddy bass, low volume), egocentric instruction to seated audience to stand ignorant of those unable to do so for 3 hours, ludicrous bar prices undermined a decent (but generally unremarkable) performance from a previously outstanding band. Shame.

Great ambiance, friendly and professional security personell and Porcupine Tree was super! Super tight, great sound and they always deliver high quality. Although 12 years of waiting was painfully long, they made it all up with the Closure/Continuation tour 🖤💜🖤
