Pure Prairie League was formed in 1969 in Waverly, Ohio. The band's name came from a 1939 movie called Dodge City, featuring a women's temperance society called the Pure Prairie League. Their eponymous RCA debut LP in 1971 featured a 1927 Saturday Evening Post cover showing an old cowboy, surrounded by mementos, wistfully listening to an LP on his Victrola. The band has continually been a strong presence on the touring circuit and continues to pack venues from coast to coast. Now in their 55th year, Pure Prairie League's music is as vital and fresh as ever, featuring their trademark vocal harmonies and razor-sharp instrumentation. With the release of their new record "Back On Track", PPL brings it all back home.

Wonderful show! The band essentially played two sets at The Franklin Theatre and the venue is easily the most intimate venue in nashville/Franklin! Every chance you get to see a show at The Franklin Theatre - DO IT!
Franklin Theatre Franklin, TNLove them. Not many original members still but they sound great! Harmonies are solid. Wish they would play in bigger cities- hard to get to from major metro areas outside the state.
Fred Kavli Theatre - Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Thousand Oaks, CAGreat show, played most of the old favorites and some new tunes too. Was good to see them live again! An improvement would be to add Catfishin’ to the line up!
Craterian Theater at The Collier Center for the Performing Arts Medford, ORIncredible show. These country rock legends brought it for 2 hours! And played an awesome set in the most intimate venue in Middle Tennessee! Don’t miss shows at The Franklin Theater!
Grand Ole Opry Nashville, TNThey were wonderful, incredible harmonies, and their new songs are worthy of the Original lineup. I highly recommend seeing them perform. I will definitely attend another one of their concerts.
