About Philip Sheppard
Philip Sheppard is a composer, producer and virtuoso cellist
As a composer he has soundtracked more than 80 movies, stage works and video games - and was a musical director for the Beijing Olympics closing ceremony. In the Summer of 2023 he was commissioned to soundtrack Keanu Reaves’ highly acclaimed ‘Brawn’ Formula One series for Disney/ Hulu.
His work in video gaming, soundtracks and interactive media has won him many accolades including the Game Audio Guild award, Sundance Audience Award, The Webby Award as well The Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Music for lifetime achievement and induction into the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences (Oscars).
He’s written with many iconic musicians - from David Bowie and Scott Walker to Queens of the Stone Age, Sia, Pretty Lights, Griz, Jarvis Cocker, Suzanne Vega and Odesza
Philip Is Artist in Residence for XPRIZE.
