About Rappin' Hood
Nascido na periferia de São Paulo, Antônio Luiz - que usa o nome Rappin' Hood inspirado no lendário Robin Hood - é um dos principais nomes do hip hop paulistano. Aos 11 anos começou a se interessar por break dance e hip hop, ao mesmo tempo em que tinha aulas de trombone e corneta para tocar na fanfarra da escola. Cantou nos anos 80 com a equipe de bailes Chic Show, que também ajudou a lançar o grupo Racionais MC's. Formou no começo dos anos 90 o grupo Posse Mente Zulu, um dos mais importantes grupos de rap de São Paulo - que gravou seu primeiro registro em 1998. Em 2001, Rappin' Hood (sem sair do Posse Mente) lançou seu primeiro álbum solo, Sujeito Homem, misturando gêneros como samba e reggae ao rap tradicional.
