Seit seinem Durchbruch mit dem Hit Cuddly Toy – einem Radio-Klassiker, der seit über drei Jahrzehnten bei Radiosendern gespielt wird und 1988 bis auf Platz vier der Charts kletterte – zählt ROACHFORD zu den eindrucksvollsten und beständigsten Rock- und Soul-Stimmen des Vereinigten Königreichs. Er hat zehn Studioalben und mehrere Best-of-Kollektionen veröffentlicht, wurde als Songwriter von Größen wie Michael Jackson, Joss Stone und Chaka Khan geschätzt und ist sowohl solo als auch gemeinsam mit Zeitgenossen wie Terence Trent D’Arby und The Christians regelmäßig auf Tour gegangen.
