Robin Trower (born Robin Leonard Trower, 9 March 1945, Catford, South East London, England) is an English rock guitarist who achieved success with Procol Harum during the 1960s, and then again as the bandleader of his own power trio. Biography Trower grew up in the seaside resort of Southend-on-Sea, Essex. In 1962, Trower formed a group that became The Paramounts, later including fellow Southend High School pupil Gary Brooker. The Paramounts disbanded in 1966 to pursue individual projects. During this time, Trower created a local three-piece band called 'The Jam' - not to be confused with the later group with Paul Weller. Trower then joined Brooker's new band Procol Harum in 1967, with whom he remained until 1972. Before launching his own eponymous band, he joined singer Frankie Miller, bass player James Dewar, and former Jethro Tull drummer Clive Bunker to form the short-lived combo Jude. This outfit did not record and soon split up. Trower retained as his bassist Dewar, who took on lead vocals as well, and recruited drummer Reg Isidore (later replaced by Bill Lordan) to form the Robin Trower Band in 1973.

Robin Trower still puts on an amazing concert! His guitar talent still amazes! He plays many of his classics from Bridge of Sighs, New Material, and music in between! All best of the best! I's incredible to watch him on stage! Was well received by the audience! You won't see a lot of visuals and far out lighting. Its Just Robin Trower on guitar and a bass player and drummer. The sound quality was exceptional! I hope to see his concert again, its the seventies again for me!
Taft Theatre Cincinnati, OHI have seen Robin in concert at least a dozen times since the 1970s and I found his guitar work even more impressive now since he is 80 years old. His tone is legendary, his fingering technique is iconic, and he still obviously enjoys performing. This show was an excellent mix of old classic songs and newer tunes with a healthy dose of blues jamming thrown in for good measure. If you love rock guitar, then you must go see him if he comes to a venue anywhere near you.
Brown County Music Center Nashville, INWOW, it was fantastic show!!! This man is one of a handful of truly phenomenal guitarists in rock and blues history. Not only a master of technical precision but is gifted with the ability to create beautiful, spine-tingling phrasing straight from his soul. It is a rare combination in the music industry. There have been many great technicians, and many soulful players, but few with a true combination of both. Robin truly deserves to be in the Rock N Roll hall of fame ASAP.
House of Blues Dallas Dallas, TX80 years old. Robin comes out on stage with his red Stratocaster and plays it nearly an hour an a half. That is the only musical instrument he uses for the entire show. Four of the songs are from "Bridge of Sighs". I had seen him play 49 years earlier when I was about to graduate with my masters degree from ISU in Terre Haute. What more can I say other than how can he still be this good.
Brown County Music Center Nashville, INI hadn't seen Robin since 1975 Masonic temple in Detroit Michigan and believe me he didn't miss a step. I could go on and on and on about how truly remarkable the show was. But anyone who has seen him already knows there is none better. He had the entire crowd mesmerised like only he can do. Thank you for a fantastic show and I promise not to wait so long before I see you again.
