Raja Kumari is a Grammy-nominated, AMA-winning artist, rapper, songwriter, and classically trained Indian-American performer known for blending Indian classical music with hip-hop, R&B, and global pop. Born in Los Angeles and trained in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, she has built a career defined by cultural fusion, powerful storytelling, and genre-defying sound. A trailblazer in global fusion music, she has collaborated with icons such as John Legend, AR Rahman, Fall Out Boy, Iggy Azalea, and Sidhu Moosewala, and has written for major artists across Epic Records, Sony Music India, and Mass Appeal India. In 2022, she founded her independent label, Godmother Records, amplifying her artistic freedom and vision. Raja received her first Grammy nomination as a songwriter on Iggy Azalea’s The New Classic. She has now earned a second Grammy recognition as a performer on a track from Sounds of Kumbha, which is nominated for Best Global Music Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
