Shagwüf is a fierce, uncompromising, power trio from the formidable Virginia DIY music scene. Formed in 2014 by bassist Sally Rose and guitarist Pete Stallings, Shagwüf released three full-length albums and two EPs with Argentine drummer Pablo Olivieri. By 2024’s Tres Animales, Shagwüf had proven to be consistent sonic explorers with elements of psych-rock, 60s-era power pop, and fuzzed-out metal riffs sharing equal space. Starting a new chapter with ace drummer Brittany Horkan on drums in 2026, the band has stayed true to its fiercely independent JAM ECONO ethos and strong convictions on social justice. Shagwüf consistently makes their case for a more inclusive and intersectional future.
