Originally called THC, Subscribe was founded on the 16th January 1999. Founder members are: Máté Tilk (vocals), Attila Horváth (guitar), Tamás Reich (guitar), Miklós Anga-Kis (bass) and Attila Rékasi (drums). The band is called Subscribe since Bálint Csongor (vocals) joined the band in 2000. Despite of the band's young age we have played at almost all of the Hungarian festivals in 2001-2002 and also won two major talent scouting contests. Besides the vast number of concerts and Festivals in Hungary in 2003, we also played in Serbia, Slovakia, Austria and took part in a one-week tour in the Netherlands together with the bands Locomotive (CZ), Dimension Seven (NL) and Cancelled (NL). Straight after that our track Friendship was selected for the HONGARIE AAN ZEE collection CD in the Netherlands. We played at almost all of the larger festivals in Hungary (Sziget, Volt, Wanted, Efott, Sportsziget etc.). Our track Feedback was selected for the Sziget festival collection CD (Tom-Tom records). In August 2003 we recorded a track (Roll & Rock)for the BPRNR (budapestrocknroll) collection CD Vol. 1. After a vast number of shows and festivals in 2004 our first record got completed and released with lots of hard work (2004 december – EDGE records). The album’s tiltle is Sanity Has Left The Building and it consists of 12 high quality songs. More than 1500 copies have been sold so far. The song X-Man has been released on the BPRNR collection CD Vol. 2, and Friendship on the Hammerworld collection CD. Our first preview show with the new album resulted in a full-house party in Budapest’s most popular alternative club Kultiplex. As a mark of their respect the band members formed a Rage Against The Machine Tribute band called Guilty Parties which also draws large crowds to their shows as it is above the high standards and measures. Subscribe’s main aim is the recognition on the European and International music scene. In the summer of 2005 we made a European club tour with Pro-Pain (USA). Our first album was released in that year also in the Benelux countries and Germany. They released their 2nd album titled Stuck Progress To Moon (Hammer-Edge records) in the fall of 2007 (planned to be released in the spring of the same year). It consists of 10 tracks, and it was released in a dual-disc format: the other side is a concert-DVD recorded on the A38 boat approx. 1 year before. http://www.subscribe.hu
