SHANNON es una agrupación de punk rock, conformada actualmente por Yuji Torales (2da guitarra), David Arzamendia (1ra guitarra y voz) y Rolando Portillo (bajo y voz). Surgió a finales del 2011 en la ciudad de Yaguarón, con la propuesta de su corte promocional “Lapsus Mental”. En diciembre del 2015, sale a la luz el primer disco: Paranoia. Aborda la temática de la obsesión, el resentimiento y el desamor, convirtiendo sus canciones así, en la voz de aquellos que se identifiquen con sus letras y encuentran en ellas la voz del interior, de la pasión, del rock. La banda ha pisado escenarios en ciudades como Asunción, Itá, Yaguarón, Fernando de la Mora, Villarrica, entre otras; ofreciendo un show enérgico, característico del grupo, y una puesta en escena que continuamente es objeto de muy buenas críticas. El nombre del grupo, Shannon, surgió con la intención de crear un personaje ficticio que pueda encarnar las historias basadas en experiencias reales, cotidianas en miles de personas que padecen, en silencio y en total anonimato, sus anécdotas de tinte pasional, que en extremos casos los llevan a crisis sentimentales y nerviosas.
