About Duran Duran
“Duran Duran is four people who really care about music,” Simon concludes. “It’s a manifesto to never stay still musically—to always keep moving, trying, and discovering new things. That’s what excites you as an artist. I’ve given myself to this big hungry monster that is Duran Duran. It’s a way of life really, and I’m thankful for it.”

ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY AWESOME!! This was my 7th concert with DD since 1984, 3rd at MPP. Everyone is as always AMAZING!! DD EQUALS LIFE for many of us "veteran" Duranies. The new songs from FUTURE PAST are quite relevant to the day. The great "oldies" and classics pulled up the most excellent memories of the vinyl and casette days. Always fun singing and "playing' along with DD while the youngsters nearby look mystified... Nick's creative sounds, Roger hammering the drums, John- PTFB JOHN!!, Simon sounds as good as ever. Dom, Anna, and Rachael are essential to the complete sound of DD. The videos playing in the background really was another most excellent touch. CHIC and Nile Rodgers are a great opener group, and the collaboration is a match made in heaven. The tribute to Ukraine was a heartfelt gesture, and WE ALL hope they will again find their ORDINARY WORLD. THANK YOU ALL for continuing to create and provide DD music. And, yes Simon, her name is....RIO!!

Duran Duran put on an absolutely excellent show, as always! I've seen then several times at various venues. They do an excellent job of playing a mix of old and new material. So whether you want reminded of the 80s, or you've followed their career, you'll be happy. And as always, Simon Le Bon is a fabulous frontman. This was my first time at Merriwether. I opted for lawn seats. My daughter and I were about an hour early, so we were able to get a choice of seating, but the front of the lawn was already full. We only took a blanket as I knew I'd stand through the whole show. I was able to see the stage fine (I am 5'10"). Plus there were two screens that often provided the better view. There was a wide variety of food, and a water station to refill your reusable bottle (must be empty coming in). Overall, a great experience!

Wonderful show from an iconic band, made even more special by the intimate location, a big improvement on the usual arena setting. A few notable misses on the setlist - Is There Something I Should Know being the most obvious - but this in no way diminished the experience, with plenty of classic Duran Duran to satisfy the baying public. Le Bon's vocals are unchanged from 40 years ago; he's a phenomenal frontman, who commands the crowd with ease. My 17 year old son has seen countless artists from the 80s and 90s but Duran Duran are the only band from that era that he's always wanted to see. Only one word of advice to the organisers; don't open the doors at 7pm if the band intend to get on at 9pm. It's a really long time to stand around. Luckily, Duran Duran are always worth the wait!!

Amazing! Let me start by saying this is my first time seeing them. Duran Duran was my favorite band in the early to mid 80's. So yes I have waited 40 years to see them and they did not disappoint. They sounded amazing and performed several of my favorite songs. With all of that said, if Nile Rogers opened and said Duran Duran was not able to make it and then did his set with the Chic org, I would have demanded I be charged more money. I mean, I have been under a rock and recently learned he produced The Reflex, but when he did is melody performing all the hits he is responsible for, my mind was blown. This is the guy who made the much of the music I grew up loving. So, this was and amazing night for me, simply amazing.

We went back to Forest Hills to see Niles Rogers and Duran Duran. Even though I think this venue could use some changes, I do like the acoustics there. Nile Rogers played a lot of songs he co-wrote or produced with other entertainers. He was a good opening act. Duran Duran was very good; Simon Le Bon still has his voice and he fronted the almost original band with only Andy Taylor not participating on the tour. They put together a great setlist mixing their classic hits while adding some new stuff. At one point, they did get a little political by talking about then dedicating a song to Ukraine which only drew a small applause from the audience. If you enjoy(ed) 80’s pop music, you really should see this show.

Duran Duran was FANTASTIC...the problem is that the acoustics of PPG Paints Arena suck. Too much echoing in that BIG cavern makes hearing the music and the lyrics very difficult to hear. I talked with Duran Duran's sound technician at length, and he told me that PPG Paints Arena is a VERY difficult venue to "dial in" the sound properly. This was my first, and will be my LAST concert that I will attend at the Arena. I won't pay the kind of money for the tickets I bought ($$$$) just to listen to murky, over booming music. I had no issue whatsoever with the band, their sound tech or the comfort of the Arena, but I think the cavernous bowl of the Arena does not make for a good concert venue.

Spectacular!!! It was a great crowd seeing the ultimate band play many favorites. But we really liked the songs -Friends of Mine, Careless Memories, Planet Earth, and Five Years. Would have been nice to have at least one song from Paper Gods, or the album before(sorry, spacing on the title--This Is Now or something), and Astronaut. But they have soooooo many songs I understand it's obviously hard to pick which one to play, except the obvious like Wild Boys, Hungry Like the Wolf, Rio, etc. What we have always like about Duran Duran is the songwriting, the words just resonate with us. We saw all 3 shows at the Bowl, and 1 in Las Vegas a week earlier. We're going to the R&R Hall of Fame induction on November 5th. So Happy!

The worst DD concert I've seen. Crap venue, dodgy sound, short set, low energy and a constantly chatting crowd. Simon seemed very downbeat, and when he asked "Are you having a lovely time in Ibiza?" he did it with such a lack of enthusiasm. Maybe he was coming down with something as his voice was very strained. Nonetheless, I could hardly hear Nick's keyboards or Dom's guitar - it was John's bass all the way. So not great, unfortunately. And don't get me started on the Pollen "experience" - a weekend of disappointments, silently removing events from the schedule and shortening/changing DJ set times at the last minute. Let's hope they never put on a three-day festival if this is what they manage for three short evenings!

Loved the show. This was the fourth time I’ve seen Duran Duran and the first time seeing a show in the new climate pledge arena. The sound was great. Duran Duran was awesome as ever. The only critique I would say is that Chic with Nile Rodgers shouldn’t of been the first act to go on. We thought Bastille was going to be the first act, so we came in a little late and we ended up missing all of Chic and Nile Rodgers set. Please have Duran Duran play again at climate pledge. They have played smaller venues prior to this one in Seattle, and they are well deserving of a repeat concert at this venue. The fans will definitely come.

It was AWESOME!!! I had the best time of my life last night and I have already attended about 20 other times to see Duran Duran. Since 1987. Love this Band and would love to see them in Syracuse NY. I saw Paul McCartney up here in 2017. Certainly the Carrier Dome is smaller but still would be so happy to have them come here and perform. I wish that they make an essception near the end of their tour and come back to NY whether at MSG of Barclay Center or the USB Arena on LI or Carrier Dome in Syracuse. Thank you Duran Duran for a wonderful night. out of 5 stars I would give them 10!
