About Tangerine
TANGERINE is an LA-based indie pop duo consisting of Marika Justad (vocals), and Toby Kuhn (guitar). Justad and Kuhn have been making music together since they met as teenagers in Seattle, where they quickly established themselves as an up-and-coming act playing every major regional festival and most venues in town. Dubbed “girl group grunge-gorgeous indie” by The Guardian, “dreamy pop” by Billboard, and “windows down pop” by Rookie Magazine, TANGERINE have toured with Jack Antonoff’s BLEACHERS and bedroom pop duo SALES, and have appeared at numerous festivals across North America.
Drawing from a blend of garage rock, Kate Bush-era synths, Americana, and bedroom pop, TANGERINE is always tender, melodic, and unique.
On TANGERINE’S most recent single, “The Coldest Winter”, released Spring 2021, Music Mecca wrote: “It’s almost as though you’re in the room as they share their hearts and pull you into their thoughts, making everything else disappear.”
