Hailing from the remote Faroe Islands, Týr have stood at the vanguard of Nordic Metal for over two decades, seamlessly weaving Norse mythology, traditional Faroese folk, and complex progressive metal into a sound uniquely their own. Following the acclaimed 2019 release Hel, the band returned with Battle Ballads via Metal Blade Records, a seismic record that marries their trademark technical precision and galloping guitar harmonies with sweeping, majestic symphonic orchestration. Masterminded by founder/vocalist Heri Joensen alongside longtime bassist Gunnar H. Thomsen, drummer Tadeusz Rieckmann, and guitarist Hans Hammer, Týr continues to push the boundaries of Nordic Metal. Known for their thunderous, highly melodic live performances that bring ancient sagas to life, Týr is back on the road. Track the band on BandsInTown to get real-time concert alerts, ticket links, and exclusive tour updates.

This was my first time seeing Týr and they did not disappoint 👏. They played songs from every era of their career and everything I wanted to hear live from them. I will cherish this show always 😎🤘
Broken Goblet Brewing Bensalem, PAThe band was spot on. They have been each time I have seen them. Unfortunately the experience was marred slightly by an obnoxious fan shouting as loud as he could for Heri to look at him.
The Riot Room Kansas City, MOIt was so freaking awesome to see them live, they played great, great atmosphere, every single member were jamming and put their all into it. It was absolutely fantastic. Would love to see them live again.
Southport Hall Jefferson, LAExcellent roster of bands - loved them all. Tyr is what drew me in and now I’m a fan of the other three especially TrollfesT - they were pure pink chaos and I loved them 💗
Dickens Calgary, ABWhat an amazing show. Killer set list! Among the lucky few who got to see the acoustic pre-show set - all three tunes in Faroese 🇫🇴with multipart vocal harmonies. Pure. Metal. Class!
